Car Wreck - 2008-09-24

patrick — Wed, 2008-09-24 13:13

So I'm on my way to work this morning heading southbound and stop at the signal light at 103rd & State Line Rd. The car behind me didn't stop... I'm not sure whether he didn't bother to attempt to stop or whether he hydroplaned into me.

Since I was already on the other side of the intersection I pulled into the JiffyLube to be out of the way of street traffic.

The cops showed up and took care of everything - yay cops.

As for me - I went to the message therapist and chiropractor last night and felt much better after I left... Now after the car wreck my lower back hurts and I have a migraine.

Updates: I changed the order on the pics so all of the pics of my car showed up first and then the other car.

My car is a '97 Honda Civic. The other car is a Chevy, not sure of the make, but I'm guessing a Cavalier (somebody else suggested a Cobalt)... I think it was from Enterprise... And guess where I'll be getting my rental car from?

I've got car rental coverage and medical on my car insurance so I should be completely covered even if the other driver wasn't.

It sprinkled a bit this morning, enough to make the road slick, but by the time the cops left most of it had dried up.

Yes it is State Line Road and it sort of follows the dividing line between Kansas and Missouri. From Alexander Majors Historic House & Museum they have a plaque showing the true state line and it's about 20-30 feet on the Missouri side of state line road. This particular spot where the accident took place was on the Kansas side in Leawood and yes, those would be Leawood police cars.
